Futuristic and tech color palettes with hex codes

A futuristic color palette sets saturated, luminous accents — cyan, electric violet, acid green, magenta — against a near-black base, so colors read as light sources on a dark field.

The futuristic look is a dark canvas with glowing accents: hues at high saturation and mid-to-high lightness that would be garish on white but read as neon on black. Cool hues dominate — cyan, blue, violet — with one warm accent for contrast. It is the visual language of developer tools, gaming, Web3 and sci-fi interfaces.

Because these palettes are dark-first, the usual derivation runs backwards: the near-black is the canvas, the accents need enough lightness to pass contrast as text on it, and the light mode, if there is one, is the derived half.

6 futuristic palettes below, each with its named colors, the eight roles the palette generator derives from them, and a link that opens the generator on that palette.

Using a futuristic palette in an interface

Treat the near-black as the canvas and the brightest cool accent as the primary, keep any second accent to one element per view, and check each accent against the dark surfaces at 4.5:1 — luminous colors fail contrast more often than they look like they do. The semantic palette guide explains the eight roles, and the guide to choosing colors for an app walks through the order to decide them in.

What are some futuristic color palette hex codes?
Neon Nights is one: Midnight #0b0c10, Cyber Blue #00f0ff, Synth Pink #ff0055, Laser Purple #b026ff, Toxic Green #39ff14. This page lists 6 futuristic palettes with every hex code, and each opens in the palette generator as a full eight-role UI palette.
How do I use a futuristic color palette in an app or website?

Make one of these your own

Every palette here is a starting point in the palette generator: open one, drag any anchor on the wheel or swap the primary for your brand color, and copy the CSS variables. The theme generator takes it the rest of the way to a Tailwind v4 stylesheet with dark mode.
