Bright and vibrant color palettes with hex codes

A bright color palette uses fully saturated hues at mid lightness — pure reds, oranges, yellows, greens and blues — so every color competes for attention and the set reads as energetic and playful.

Bright palettes are saturation with the volume up. They come from candy, sports, festivals and children's brands, where the point is exuberance. Three or more vivid hues at once is a triadic or tetradic scheme in practice, so the same rules apply: they read as categories, not as hierarchy.

On screen, bright colors need strict rationing. Pick one as the primary, let the others be signals — chart series, tags, status — and put everything else on a plain neutral so the page has somewhere to rest.

9 bright palettes below, each with its named colors, the eight roles the palette generator derives from them, and a link that opens the generator on that palette.

Using a bright palette in an interface

Choose one vivid hue as the primary, use the others only as category or status colors, keep the canvas and text neutral, and stagger the lightness of the vivid set so it separates in grayscale for color-blind readers. The semantic palette guide explains the eight roles, and the guide to choosing colors for an app walks through the order to decide them in.

What is a bright color palette?
A bright color palette uses fully saturated hues at mid lightness — pure reds, oranges, yellows, greens and blues — so every color competes for attention and the set reads as energetic and playful.
What are some bright color palette hex codes?
Metro Pop is one: Taxi #ffbe0b, Billboard #fb5607, Subway #3a86ff. This page lists 9 bright palettes with every hex code, and each opens in the palette generator as a full eight-role UI palette.
How do I use a bright color palette in an app or website?
Choose one vivid hue as the primary, use the others only as category or status colors, keep the canvas and text neutral, and stagger the lightness of the vivid set so it separates in grayscale for color-blind readers.

Make one of these your own

Every palette here is a starting point in the palette generator: open one, drag any anchor on the wheel or swap the primary for your brand color, and copy the CSS variables. The theme generator takes it the rest of the way to a Tailwind v4 stylesheet with dark mode.
