Sharing and access

Projects are private by default. There are two ways to open one up, and they answer different questions: share a link when you want feedback, invite a collaborator when you want help.

Share links

A share link is read-only and needs no account, so it suits sending a plan to a client or stakeholder outside the project. The link's URL never changes once sent, and every gate on it stays editable afterward:

• On/off — turning sharing off closes the link immediately; turning it back on revives the same URL.
• Expiry — choose a deadline from presets (24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or never). An elapsed link reads as not found, and picking a new expiry brings it back without re-sending anything.
• Passcode — an optional passcode locks the page. A locked page ships no project data until the passcode is entered, so the URL alone reveals nothing.

The same link can present the plan two ways: the default canvas view, or ?view=report, which renders the generated project report — roles, features, the access matrix, and traceability — for readers who want the document rather than the diagram. Both views sit behind all the same gates.

Collaborators

Invite someone by email as an editor or a viewer. Editors work in the project live — changes sync as they happen, with everyone's cursors and presence visible on the boards. Viewers get the same live view but cannot change anything: the lock is real, not cosmetic. Collaboration time is unmetered on every plan.

How many collaborators a project can hold depends on the owner's plan: one on Free, three on Starter, unlimited on Plus. The cap applies when you invite — if a plan changes later, people who already have access keep it. Anyone can join a project someone else hosts, whatever their own plan.

Referrals

Sharing is also how the referral loop works: your referral link gives a new sign-up bonus AI credits and earns you the same, spendable on any plan alongside the monthly allowance described in create a project.

What collaborators see

Members land in the same workspace described in the workspace overview — every tab, from Domain through Export. Editing is live on the canvases and panels; version restores replace the shared state for everyone, so the room never drifts from what the owner restored.
